I'd taken a break from writing two years ago to concentrate totally on photography. Now that it's more stable, I thought I'd listen to friends and colleagues urging me to write again, even for fun. So here it is, the first feature story since October 2008 where I do both.
I did a commercial shoot in Singapore last month at Shankar's which was split into two parts: office & warehouse. For the warehouse portion, I sat on a foot stool in a small industrial cage & was forklifted high above the shelves. For the office part, I spent the day with everyone at work, capturing the comings and goings, the meetings and generally tagging along. Such friendly people. I missed them when I left.
This is my first day in Singapore working on a shoot for Shankar's Emporium Pte Ltd. I could not help turning my computer back on before retiring for the evening to say how wonderful the people are. If you remember from an earlier post of my shoot for Hiang Kie Industries Ltd. in Vietnam, the English bloke smiling big in a white shirt and Manu, the head of Shakar's have brought me here. Looking forward to the shoot this week.
Andrew and I first met when I appeared in the Taiwan Night Market segment in 2007. I then got invited to Minneapolis--Andrew's hometown--to join him and other guests for the Holiday Special. This time it's Bangkok! Here's the preview.
