Co-Hosting Premiere of BEST VACATIONS IN THE WORLD

I co-hosted a Taiwan Tourism film alongside American TV host JD Roberto last November. The premiere episode of KTLA's Best Vacations in the World will be screened on 20 February at the Dining Terrace of the Westfield Mall Century City in Los Angeles. For most of you, like myself, we can view it on KTLA's website.

Picture taken of the film crew by our brilliant director and editor Darryl Kinson.

A Portrait Break in Hong Kong

I've been spending my mornings practicing violin with Alvin the pianist (and pilot) while in Hong Kong. Life doesn't start till about early afternoon where I'm shooting. My publisher at ThingsAsian Press had introduced Alvin to me on my last trip.

My publisher constantly reminds me to relax, which I'm not very good at doing. Playing with Alvin does start me laughing every morning! Yesterday, after practice, Alvin and our mutual friend James returned to my hotel after lunch so I could drop off the violin. There was great light in one corner. I quickly squeezed as much of Alvin's six-foot plus frame into my Muji coat meant for all five-foot of me and hid his hair under my hat. Here's the result.

I'm so excited that ThingsAsian Press has approved my third trip to Hong Kong so that I can continue to work on my book project. I will be there between 25 November to 9 December. Check out ThingsAsian Press's new and upcoming list of books on their website.

SONG A/W 2011 Shoot: More Floor Shots

I've had an addiction to interior design and clothes for as long as I can remember. I try to combine the two obsessions in my fashion shoots. Here are a few more from the same shoot last month.

Saigon Econistas in Smile Magazine

I'd taken a break from writing two years ago to concentrate totally on photography. Now that it's more stable, I thought I'd listen to friends and colleagues urging me to write again, even for fun. So here it is, the first feature story since October 2008 where I do both.

Shankar's Emporium Ltd. Singapore

I did a commercial shoot in Singapore last month at Shankar's which was split into two parts: office & warehouse. For the warehouse portion, I sat on a foot stool in a small industrial cage & was forklifted high above the shelves. For the office part, I spent the day with everyone at work, capturing the comings and goings, the meetings and generally tagging along. Such friendly people. I missed them when I left.

Shooting in Singapore this Week

This is my first day in Singapore working on a shoot for Shankar's Emporium Pte Ltd. I could not help turning my computer back on before retiring for the evening to say how wonderful the people are. If you remember from an earlier post of my shoot for Hiang Kie Industries Ltd. in Vietnam, the English bloke smiling big in a white shirt and Manu, the head of Shakar's have brought me here. Looking forward to the shoot this week.
