These two shots were taken in Beijing in October 2009. My publisher at
ThingsAsian Press had sent me there with author Janet Brown who wrote the popular travel books:
Tone Death in Bangkok. The top picture was taken at the Summer Palace; the bottom near the lakes during a mild sandstorm.
